15 August 2016 Update

Hello All!!

I forgot to do an update on Friday because life has been kind of hectic, so here we are on a Monday!

It's the start of a new week, so that means a refresh, right? Please?

It has been super hot where I am, so I have been feeling kinda crappy, but I am going to power through it!

Reading:

I saw a post from EpicReads with a challenge, since the Olympics are going on right now, to read ten books in ten days! So that started two days ago, and so far, I have read the two books necessary!! Just eight more to go!!! I have a list of the books I am planning on reading, so I don't have to make any decisions!

I just finished Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi (that review will be up on the 28th) and I am going to be reading The Winner's Kiss by Marie Rutkoski today! (Hopefully I can finish it on time!)

The books (in order) that I am going to read for the challenge are:

-Shadowshaper by Daniel Jose Older,

-Blood Magic by Tessa Gratton,
-and Stray by Elissa Sussman.

Not gonna lie, I have also been reading a lot of short fiction pieces about my favorite book of this year: A Court of Mist and Fury, so yeah. It's been fun.

Watching:

Obviously, my previously scheduled shows are all on hold at the moment because of the OLYMPICS!!! I am so excited whenever the Olympics come around because it is really the only time I care about sports. I kinda go overboard and only really think about the Olympics when they're on, so this reading challenge I'm doing is kinda killing me slowly, but whatever!

Life:

I went to the Panic! at the Disco concert back on the 6th and I had such a great time! It was nice to finally be able to let loose and just have fun!

I am taking a road trip home this week!! Yay!! It will be my first solo long drive, so wish me luck and safety in this SoCal traffic!!

Saga Vol 3 Review

Saga Vol 3 by My Rating: 4 Stars Date Read: 20 November 2016 Synopsis: From the Hugo Award-winning duo of Brian K. Vaughan (The Private Eye, Y: The Last Man) and Fiona Staples (North 40, Red Sonja), Saga is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the universe. Searching for their literary hero, new parents Marko and Alana travel to a cosmic lighthouse on the planet Quietus, while the couple's multiple pursuers finally close in on their targets. Collects issues 13-18. My Review: Out of the three volumes I have read of this, I think this one is my least favorite. That being said, it's still amazing.
